Is Your Workplace Truly Inclusive? 🤔
Discrimination isn’t always overt. Even well-meaning businesses can create barriers. Here’s how to do better…
- Start With Self-Education: Unconscious bias training for leadership AND for all employees.
- Scrutinize Your Systems: Are hiring practices equitable? Is pay based on clear criteria, not favoritism?
- Zero Tolerance, Period: For sexist jokes, microaggressions, etc. Sets a clear cultural standard.
- Diverse Feedback Channels: Safe ways to report issues so they can’t be swept under the rug.
- Representation Matters: Leadership, marketing materials…do they reflect the world beyond your office walls?
- Continuous Improvement: Inclusion efforts are never finished. Seek input, review policies regularly.
Building an inclusive workplace isn’t just the right thing to do, it attracts top talent and improves the bottom line.
