Lean Manufacturing

What: Focuses on eliminating waste (anything not adding value for the customer) to increase efficiency. Key concepts include Just-in-Time production and Continuous Improvement (Kaizen).

Who: Inspired by the Toyota Production System, with Taiichi Ohno a leading figure.

Why: Helps entrepreneurs streamline operations, cut costs, and become more responsive to customer needs.

When: Any time you have inefficient processes, excessive inventory, or want to boost productivity. Lean principles apply beyond manufacturing.

How:

    1. Map your value stream to identify waste areas.
    2. Implement Lean techniques (5S, Kanban, etc.) to address them.
    3. Make continuous improvement (kaizen) a culture, not a one-time project.
