  • Do Your Homework: What are comparable businesses selling for in your industry?
  • Anchor High: Start with your ideal number, they’ll negotiate down.
  • It’s Not Personal: This is business, detach your emotions from the offer.

Negotiation is a skill. Get comfortable with it, because you’ll use it beyond this sale.
