Organizing Your MIND, Not Just Your Desk

Outer order starts with inner order. How you manage the barrage of information determines your sanity.

We keep everything in our heads, leading to decision fatigue and missed opportunities.

  • Brain dump regularly: Get swirling thoughts onto paper (or screen) to see what ACTUALLY needs attention.
  • Master list + daily list: Big picture goals, then bite-sized tasks picked from it for maximum focus.
  • Inbox zero is achievable: Designate email processing time, don’t let it derail your day constantly.
  • Meeting notes template: Ensures you capture decisions & action items, not just vague chit-chat.
  • Delegate to your calendar: Block time for deep work, client calls…if it’s not scheduled, it probably won’t happen.
  • Automate ruthlessly: Recurring tasks, reminders, etc. Offload repeatable things to tech.

What’s your preferred method for capturing ideas/tasks as they come up?

Do a 5-minute brain dump right now. Don’t organize it, just get the thoughts out of your head.
