Forget the hype. Building a startup is messy. Here’s the hard truths they won’t show you on Instagram.

• Long Hours, Low Pay (At First): Passion fuels you, but you still need to eat…be realistic!
• The Emotional Rollercoaster: Exhilarating wins, soul-crushing setbacks, often within the same day.
• Rejection is the Norm: Investors, customers, potential hires…you’ll hear ‘no’ a LOT before a ‘yes’.
• Wear ALL the Hats: You’re the CEO, janitor, and customer service rep, especially in the early days.
• Community is Key: Find your tribe of fellow founders for support, sanity checks, and shared misery.
• It’s (Probably) Gonna Take Longer: Overnight successes are the exception. Grit for the long haul wins.

Building a startup is an incredible, difficult adventure. Embrace the chaos, it’s part of the journey.
